This is a story of a couple on the Great Loop who "Took the Plunge" by moving aboard full time to motor their vessel to the Gulf of Mexico from Michigan in 2012. Once there they "Simplified" and moved on from the Gulf to the Florida coast of the Atlantic Ocean in 2016. After nine years, and on the move again, plain to finish out the Loop, aboard "Make Me Smile" in the spring of 2025.

The time to go has arrived
Well the day has finally come when we start our big adventure. Today will take us from our home port at Harbor Club North to Port Huron. Bert estimates 6-7 hours today. There is quite a bit of preparation still to do this morning to be able to pull out from Harbor Club for the last time so this blog entry is a short one.
